AUGUSTA — The Lithgow Public Library, 45 Winthrop St., will host an open mic poetry night Monday, April 30, at 6:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
In honor of National Poetry Month, Lithgow is hosting the event featuring poetry groups from around the state, including the Maine Poets Society, the Pondtown Poets, and Port Veritas.
Those attending will hear original poetry from Nathan Amadan, Ann Carter, Sally Joy, Sarah Miller, Susan Parks, and many more.
The floor also will be opened for anyone who would like to share their own poetry or read a favorite poem. This event may have strong language and mature content that is not appropriate for children.
