Restorative Community Training workshop set for April 9 in Norway

Mar. 252018

NORWAY — The Oxford County Wellness Collaborative will offer training for anyone who wants to learn to hold conversations that foster trust, commitment and a sense of belonging.
The Restorative Community Training workshop will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday, April 9, at the Town Office, 19 Danforth St.

The session is free of charge, including drinks and a healthy meal. The training is ideal for people who would like to participate in or facilitate meaningful, respectful conversations, organizers said. The training has also been shown to empower participants to directly address personal and community improvement.
“Our priority is to make this experience available to everyone who is interested,” said a news release from the Wellness Collaborative.
“If you find the training valuable please make a donation so the Collaborative can offer additional trainings.”
The Wellness Collaborative’s mission is to engage all community members in working together to transform personal, environmental, and economic health by building strong relationships among people and organizations. The group is grounded in the belief that as individuals and organizations, we are most effective when working together towards a common goal rather than separately trying to reach the same goal.
The Oxford County Wellness Collaborative is administered by Healthy Oxford Hills, a Healthy Community Coalition and a department of Stephens Memorial Hospital. To reserve a spot, call Emily at 207-739-6222.
