Mar. 252018

AUGUSTA — Lithgow Public Library will host “Going Zero Waste: Practical Tips to Reduce Your Household Trash,” at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 18. The event is free and open to the public.

The average American produces 4.4 pounds of trash every day, leaving a legacy of about 90,000 pounds of trash over the course of a lifetime. Zero waste is a growing movement among people who are looking to reduce the amount of trash they produce.
Julie Olson, adult services librarian and a zero waste advocate, will discuss simple and practical steps to reduce the amount of trash a household produces.
Lithgow Library is at 45 Winthrop St. For more information visit www.lithgow.lib.me.us.
