Bridgton baby-sitting training class for teens will be April 20

BRIDGTON –The Bridgton Community Center will offer a babysitter’s training course from 9 a.m to 3 p.m. Friday, April 20, at the center, 15 Depot St.
Allison Ross, EMT, from United Ambulance, will teach the course. Attendees will receive a certificate at the end of the day.

The basic course — geared toward 11- to 14-year-olds — teaches “Leadership: Safe and Responsible Babysitting,” “Basic Care: The Heart of Babysitting,” “Stop: Think Safety, Safe Play and Basic First Aid,” including infant and child “Heartsaver” cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
Class size is limited to 14 candidates, who should bring a bag lunch. Registration must be before April 13. For more information on fees or to register, contact the Bridgton Community Center at 207-647-3116.
