WATERVILLE — The Travis Mills Foundation is inviting Maine Vietnam War veterans to a free breakfast 8 to 10 a.m. Thursday, March 29, which is National Vietnam Veterans Day. The event will be at the Waterville Elks Lodge, 76 Industrial St.
Mills will deliver prepared remarks to salute and welcome home Vietnam War veterans. Mills is an ardent supporter of Vietnam veterans, and the event is his initiative to say thank you to them, said a news release from the foundation.
Each attending Vietnam veteran may attend free of charge. There will be a $5 donation at the door for non-veteran family members. First-come, first-served basis will be given to Vietnam veterans; the foundation is asking that family attendees are limited, so the are able to honor more veterans.
