Stephens Hospital offers canning class March 27

SOUTH PARIS — Interested in canning and preserving your own food, but not sure where to start?
Join Stephens Memorial Hospital and Don Packard for a class on the home canning process. Canning produces flavorful, high-quality food that saves money and builds self-reliance.

The class will cover safe home canning and preserving practices, and as a group, participants will make and can one food item to take home.
This class will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 27, at the South Paris Fire Station. 137 Western Ave. The cost is $5 per person, and registration is required.
