Western Maine Cancer Resource Center hosts prevention workshop March 15

NORWAY — The Cancer Resource Center of Western Maine will hold a workshop on the power of cancer prevention, 10 to 11 .m. Thursday, March 15, at the center, 199 Main St.
The workshop is free and open to the public, and pre-registration is not required.

Maureen Higgins, a licensed clinical social worker and cancer health outreach rducator with the Dempsey Center will talk about lifestyle changes that can reduce one’s risk of cancer.
The interactive presentation will focus on behavior over which one has control and look at simple ways to incorporate healthy choices into every day life, increase overall wellness and prevent chronic disease, according to the center.
