GRAY — The Studio for the Living Arts Dance Complex will present “Pulse Performs” at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Feb. 11 at the Windham Performing Arts Center at Windham High School
The 11 a.m. show will feature solos, duos, trios and specialty group numbers. The 3 p.m. show will include all 2017 primary group numbers from the six levels of dancers.
General admission tickets are $12 per person in advance or $15 at the door. One ticket covers admission for either show or both. Doors open 30 minutes prior to show time.
The Pulse Training Program for ages 6 to 18 consists of core classes in ballet, contemporary, jazz, tap, hip-hop, musical theater, lyrical and acro as well as weekly choreography sessions. Pulse Dance Company is open to serious and experienced Studio for the Living Arts dancers who have a desire to broaden their dance training and grow in performance skills.
The Pulse Dance Company is one of Southern Maine’s largest youth performing and competition ensembles consisting of 90-plus dancers from more than 20 different towns and cities. Admission to the company is by audition only each June.
Proceeds from the performance benefit the dancers Educational Fund Account, which brings master classes or other supplemental training classes to the studio.
The Pulse Dance Company makes it a priority to give back to the community and does so in a variety of ways, including hosting and performing for benefits for charities.
