SOUTH PARIS — The Paris Pubilc Library will host a string-art fundraiser 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Saturday, March 17, at the Deering Memorial Community Center, 39 Market Square.
The event is an opportunity to enjoy creating some fun and beautiful string art while helping support the community center.
The $25 registration fee covers the cost of all materials necessary to complete a string art project of your choice, selected from the dozen patterns provided. Please register by March 15 by contacting the Paris Public Library to make sure your project’s supplies are ready in time for the fundraiser.
By visiting the library, or checking out the String-Art event on Deering Memorial Community Center’s Facebook page, the patterns available can be reviewed. You also can choose your project’s string colors. The suggested age for this activity is 10 and up, as it requires a lot of time and focus. Light snacks will be provided.
The net proceeds from this event will be used to support the center’s annual operating expenses.
