LEWISTON — The annual Chili and Chowder Taste Challenge will be held Tuesday, April 10 at Ramada Inn. Proceeds benefit Longley Elementary School and The Green Ladle Scholarship Fund.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and awards are announced at 7:30 p.m. It is the 15th year of the event.
Area restaurants provide the chili and chowder and those attending vote for their favorites. The first 100 people in line at the door receive a gift. Tickets are $10 for adults; $5 for those 10 and under. They may be bought in advance at Longley Elementary School, the Sun Journal and LRTC Culinary Arts (The Green Ladle) and at participating restaurants.
There will be a cash bar as well as free soda and water.
