SOUTH PARIS — Stephens Memorial Hospital and HeartSong Kennel are joining to offer a day of dog-sledding on Saturday, March 10.
The day will begin with a kennel tour, where participants will meet and learn all about the dogs as well as about dog sledding.
There will have an opportunity to help harness the dogs in preparation for a 15-20 minute basket ride through the snow. Participants should dress warmly (think layers), including winter boots with gaiters or a way to block deep snow from getting into tops of boots. Sunglasses or goggles are recommended.
The event begins at 9 a.m. at HeartSong Kennel, 160 Ryerson Hill Road. Carpooling is suggested.
Those wanting to carpool should meet at Ripley Medical Office Building Parking Lot, 193 Main St., at 8:30 a.m.
The cost is $25 per person and registration is required.
