Cancer Resource Center Healthy Tips series to feature chef Feb. 2

NORWAY — The Cancer Resource Center of Western Maine will continue its healthy eating series in February.
The first Friday class, Healthy Tip and Tricks, will meet at 12:30 p.m., a new time, Friday, Feb. 2. Holly Utt, nutrition educator with Healthy Oxford Hills and a professional chef, will provide recipes and a chance to enjoy some taste testing.

All programs offered by the venter are free to anyone impacted by cancer, survivors and caregivers. New visitors are welcome to visit at 199 Main St. for information and to join in one or all of their activities. In case of inclement weather, when Sschool Administrative District 17 cancels classes, activities sponsored by the center are cancelled as well.

Drop in hours are every Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Volunteers are available to provide comfort items such as port protectors, wigs, hats, pillows or look for resources. There are also many pamphlets and a lending library available. The center is also a place to enjoy a cup of coffee or tea, chat with a volunteer or take time for yourself by participating in scheduled activities, such as coloring, knitting or games are available at all times.
