AUBURN — The city’s annual Winter Festival will be held Friday, Saturday and Sunday — January 26, 27 and 28 — as a way for the community to “celebrate all things winter.”
The festival will feature a variety of events all weekend long, most of them free to the public.
Spotlight events include:
* Lost Valley Ski Area, 200 Lost Valley Road, for “Family Fun Night at the Mountain,” Friday evening, featuring various activities for the whole family.
* “Kids Activity Zone” at Festival Plaza, 112 Main St., where there will be a snow mountain, petting zoo, live ice sculpture demonstrations, kid’s band and more Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
* “The Roopers WinterFest Party Tent” — home of the “Gritty’s Ice Bar and L/A Harley Stage” — will be open from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Festival Plaza. The Roopers tent will feature cocktails and live music for adults 21 and over. Tickets are $10, sold in advance, with a cash bar and music provided by The Farm House Project and the L/A Harley Band.
* United New Auburn Association will host a family sledding and skating event Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Sherwood Heights School, 32 Sherwood Drive.
* St. Dom’s winter carnival and open house from 2 to 4:30 p.m. at the school on Gracelawn Avenue.
