Jan. 162017

WAYNE — Please join us for an authentic Hungarian dinner at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11 (snow date, Sunday, Feb. 12), at Cary Memorial Library’s Williams House, 14 Old Winthrop Road.

Kati Vecsey will prepare a selection of traditional Hungarian appetizers, goulash, a vegetarian option of cherry soup and warm apple strudel for dessert. Hungarian wines will accompany the meal.

Between dinner and dessert, Kati will give a brief talk about Hungary and reflect on life in a communist country. Kati was born in Budapest and grew up there. She moved to Maine in 1995 and is a senior lecturer in theater at Bates College.

Only 24 tickets will be sold for this fundraiser for the Cary Memorial Library, so buy your tickets soon. Tickets are $25 per person. For more information, or to buy a ticket, stop by the library or contact Holly Stevenson at 685-9005 or hollystv@hotmail.com.
