AUGUSTA — The Unitarian Universalist Community Church here host a one-hour fundraiser, “Keyboard Music Spanning Four Centuries” at 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, at the church, 69 Winthrop St.
Pianist Christine Letcher will perform solo works by Mozart, Chopin and Margaret Bonds. Her program also features flutist Bill Moseley, performing Bach’s “Flute Sonata in B minor.”
Letcher is the assistant director of Snow Pond Community Music School in Sidney, where she also serves on the faculty. She is an adjunct faculty member of the University of Maine at Augusta.
Moseley earned a bachelor’s degree in music from the University of Alabama and a master’s degree in music from the University of Illinois. While pursuing his doctorate at Boston University, Moseley was offered a position at the University of Maine at Augusta, where he has taught for more than 40 years.
Music lovers can hear Moseley Sunday mornings at Bagel Mania in Augusta playing in a jazz quartet. Now retired, he offers private flute lessons.
