Book celebrates 30 years of The Giving Tree of Rangeley

Dec. 112017

RANGELEY — A children’s book has been created and printed to commemorate the 30th anniversary of The Giving Tree of Rangeley.

The story explains why there is an angel in Rangeley, and how The Giving Tree of Rangeley came to be. Angela’s grandmother tells her the story of a little girl named Mary Ellen who became the inspiration for the Giving Tree.

All proceeds from the sale of the book go directly back to the Giving Tree of Rangeley. The tree is lit every year and is instrumental in collecting donations for the community.

The story is written by Marie B. Sutherland and is illustrated by Sonja Eustis Johnson. The layout and printing are done by Kelly O’Neil of Lloyd Graphics.

The book is for sale at Ecopelagicon on Pond Street or you can contact Carmen Glidden at 207-864-3807 for a copy.
