Center for Workforce and Professional Development sets Jan. 1 deadline for refresher course

AUBURN — The Center for Workforce & Professional Development at Central Maine Community College will offer a one-week CompTIA Network+ Boot Camp course Monday, Jan. 8, through Friday, Jan. 12, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the college, 1250 Turner St.

Registration deadline is Jan 1. (There will be no class Wednesday, Jan. 10).

Designed for IT professionals who simply need a short, test-prep review, this 20-hour training course is a condensed version of the regularly scheduled CompTIA Network+ 48-hour course. This course prepares students to sit for the Network+ exam (N10-006) and will cover features, functions, and how to install networking components as well as configuring and troubleshooting basic networking hardware, protocols and services.

The cost for the course is $800 and includes all course materials and a six-month access to a practice exam; TestOut Network Pro access for 18 months; and an exam voucher. The total retail value of this instructional materials package is $695. It is highly recommended that students schedule their exam at CMCC’s Center for Testing and Assessment within one month of instruction.
