RANGELEY — The Rangeley Ecumenical Food Pantry, operated by the four churches in town, delivered some Thanksgiving cheer to many area residents in November. The deliveries consisted of 92 fruit trays and 55 food baskets. Recipients ranged from area seniors confronting health issues or lacking transportation, to town employees whose work keeps the town running throughout the year.
The food pantry would like to thank all the volunteers helping make this year’s Thanksgiving delivery a great success, as well as those who support the pantry with their donations, including the Salvation Army. Special thanks go to the Rangeley IGA, for assembling and selling the gift food bags and preparation of the fruit trays.
The Rangeley Ecumenical Food Pantry is located in the undercroft of the Church of the Good Shepherd, 2614 Main Street, and is open Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to noon. Donations can be sent to Rangeley Ecumenical Food Pantry, care of the Church of the Good Shepherd, POB 156, Rangeley, 04970.
