LEWISTON — Accordionist Lorraine Ouellette, along with guitarists Gerry Dube and Adrien Leclaire, will perform Thursday, Dec. 14, at La Rencontre at the Gendron Franco Center, 46 Cedar St.
La Rencontre (the gathering) begins at 11:25 a.m., and doors open at 10 a.m. La Rencontre is not restricted to French-speakers or those of Franco descent. All are welcome to attend the monthly meal and event, as long as spots remain open. The meal is a turkey dinner with all the fixings and Chef John’s pie for dessert.
After the meal, Maine Attorney General Janet Mills will address the group briefly on ways to avoid telephone and internet fraud and scams. The day will conclude with a Christmas sing-along with The Lorraine Ouellette Trio in the Center’s Performance Hall, and several raffle prizes will be drawn.
