Leavitt Ski Boosters annual can, bottle drive is Dec. 2

TURNER — The Leavitt Area High School Ski Boosters will conduct their annual Cash and Bottle Drive from 8:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 2.

Donors of cash will be eligible to win a two-day cruise on a Windjammer with Schooner American Eagle during its 2018 summer season.

The American Eagle cruises include whale and porpoise siting, island-side dinners and below-deck accommodations for two, as part of its raffle prize.

Donors of bottles or cans will be eligible to win a stay for two at the nationally recognized Inn by the River Bed and Breakfast Hotel in The Forks region of Northwestern Maine. Leavitt skiers from both the nordic and alpine ski teams will collect bottles and donations door-to-door. Money raised from the bottle and cash drive will provide equipment and pay for training for skiers from both teams. Leavitt skiers have been past state and conference champions through the years, and their skiers have gone on to participate in college athletics.
