WAYNE — The Kennebec Land Trust will host a sustainable balsam fir-tipping and wreath-making workshop, at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, at the Ladd Recreation Center.
Dave Fuller, agriculture and non-timber forest products professional with the University of Maine Cooperative Extension, will lead a field program on how to tip balsams sustainably, followed by an indoor wreath-making workshop.
Fuller will discuss how to identify balsam fir, proper tipping methods and how to make a balsam fir wreath.
Participants should bring hand shears and light gloves.
Admission cost is $5 for KLT members, $10 for non-members. Space is limited.
