AUBURN — A Give Thanks concert featuring pianist Phil House, vocalist Kathy Haley, and the Rick and Stephanie Hansen family will kick off the holiday season at Court Street Baptist Church, 4 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 19.
The church is at 129 Court St.
House and Haley have performed the concert annually for more than a dozen years, as well as appeared at the Sawyer Memorial and at the Poland Spring All Souls Chapel in their Annual Summer Concert series.
House is the organist at the First Universalist Church in Auburn. He has performed in venues as far away as Nashville and in Vienna, Austria. Haley is minister of Music at Court Street Baptist Church and a piano accompanist for the Edward Little High School music program. She has been a church organist and pianist for many years. As a vocalist, she performs with a pop-music vocal band The Girls of LA, and she was a lead singer with the top-40 dance band Good and Plenty.
Among the guests will be the family of Rick and Stephanie Hansen, who are members of Court Street Baptist Church and are co-directors of the American Baptist Churches of Maine camp at China Lake,. They and their children will perform vocal and instrumental numbers. Also joining the performance will be instrumentalist Marge Muise, as well as singer Shawna Haley-Bear, Kathy’s daughter and special friend of Court Street.
The concert is free, although there will be a suggested offering to benefit the church’s youth mission trips. For more information, call 207-784-6661.
