PCS student named Student of the Month

The Mechanic Falls, Minot and Poland Tri-Town Optimist Club has announced its October RSU 16 Student of the Month recipient, Cadence Peters. She a sixth grader at Poland Community School, described by both her teacher and her principal as a cheerful student, always smiling, positive and sincere — an encouragement to everyone she comes in contact with.
