JAY — The Jay Police Department takes back medication at the police station from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday on an ongoing basis, town manager Shiloh LeFreniere said in a news release. The department used to have a location at the Jay Hannaford on drug take-back day, but won’t this year because of its ongoing program. For the rest of the area, drug take-back say is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 28.
Residents may bring expired, unused and unwanted medicine, free of charge, to be dropped off at the following locations. AARP will also be at the Lewiston High School site to shred paper and documents, free of charge.
