AUGUSTA — Maine-ly Harmony women’s barbershop chorus will hold a public bean supper from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, at the Emmanuel Lutheran Episcopal Church (formerly Prince of Peace) at 209 Eastern Ave.
Veteran bean supper chef Nancy Bossie will prepare the beans, franks, cole slaw and cornbread, with the chorus members providing homemade desserts.
Don’t be surprised if the chorus bursts into song while serving its customers, organizers said.
Cost for the supper is $8 adults and $5 children under 12. Proceeds will go to the chorus to help with the cost of safety bars for their risers and to the church. For more information about the chorus, contact Lea at 207-622-1273.
