RANGELEY — The winners of the fourth annual Rangeley Oktoberfest Brat & Strudel Contest have been announced.
Local chefs prepared their best bratwurst and strudel, and their entries were judged by both a panel of expert judges (Klara Haines, Gerlinde Stretz and Hans Stretz) and a popular vote cast by the approximately 100 attendees. The winners were:
Winners of the judges’ vote was Rangely IGA (Buzzy Jensen) for the best bratwurst, and Mountain Catering (Michael Flewelling) for the best strudel.
Rangeley IGA also won the popular vote, while Just Desserts (Ana Wetherill) won it for best strudel.
The event was sponsored by the Rangeley Lakes Chamber of Commerce and hosted by The Rangeley Inn and Tavern.
