Oxford Hill’s Ashely Childs placed third (25:19) in a Sept. 22 cross-country race at Roberts Farm in Norway. She was soon followed by teammates Jade Martell-Bixby and Rachel Chase, eighth and 10th. The girls team placed second in the four-way meet, which included Lewiston, Telstar and Leavitt Area high schools. Lewiston won the race,with 20 points, and the top individual finisher was Zaid Teklu of Lewiston in 24:20. Oxford Hills finished second, with 35 points. (Bill Van Tassel photo)
