Memory Care at Market Square opens in South Paris

SOUTH PARIS — North Country Associates recently held a grand opening of its new 16-bed memory care living center, Memory Care at Market Square.
The center serves the western Maine community by providing round-the-clock assisted living and engaging activities in a secure environment for those living with cognitive impairments like dementia and Alzheimer’s disease, officials said.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony by the Oxford Hills Chamber of Commerce kicked off the event held in September.
Visitors were treated to tours of the brand new state-of-the-art facility, as well as a sampling of the activities such as puzzles and live music that will take place daily at the residence.
“Memory Care is compassionate care that fosters connectivity between the resident, their care-givers, families and the community,” says Amy Boivin, director of Memory Care. “This relationship-based approach recognizes each resident’s unique qualities, needs, preferences and spirit. We are excited to have the opportunity to share this type of care in the Western Foothills where there is a great need for it.”
