Jeff McCabe to talk about the Northern Forest Canoe Trail

OQUOSSOC — The Rangeley Guides and Sportsmen’s Association’s first meeting of the new year will take place on Thursday, Jan. 12.

Please note this meeting is a week earlier than usual, so as not to conflict with the Rangeley Snodeo activities. Our potluck dinner will start at 5:30 p.m. at the RRG&SA clubhouse on Old Skiway Road in Oquossoc. This month our potluck dinner will feature Italian cuisine. Attendees are asked to bring their favorite Italian entrée, salad, or dessert.

Our guest speaker this month will be Jeff McCabe of Skowhegan. Jeff will give an informative talk about the 457-mile Northern Forest Canoe Trail, some of which is in our Rangeley backyard. Jeff’s presentation may inspire some to start planning a canoe adventure for 2017. The public is always welcome to attend these potluck suppers and educational programs.
