Norway Community Children’s Choir to begin rehearsals Oct. 4

NORWAY — Children ages 7-15 are invited to register for the sixth season of the Community Children’s Choir. Rehearsals begin at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4, at the Second Congregational Church, 205 Main St., and will be held every Wednesday afternoon from 3:15 to 4:30 p.m.
Performances are scheduled during the annual Christmastide concert, Saturday, Dec. 9, and Sunday, Dec. 10.
There are no auditions and no church affiliations are required. All are welcome.

Shirli Allen-Heald of Norway and production assistants Sharon Hollowell, of West Paris, Kate Wood, of Otisfield and Jean Saunders, of South Paris, are excited about continueing this popular community program and are looking forward to helping develop the students’ talents as they learn how to become performers and supporters of the arts, they said in a news release. Allen, local performer, music director of the Second Congregational Church, and owner/ teacher at The Growing Place Day School said, “I am very excited to continue this project. Children from Woodstock, Paris, Norway, Oxford and Otisfield performed last year.
