WINTHROP — American Legion Post 40, 117 Bowdoin St., will hold a fundraiser from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, to benefit Don Chase, post adjutant, who was severely injured in a car accident.
Chase spent about four months in the hospital and subsequent rehabilitation facility, with a long recovery yet to come.
According to the organizers, the evening will be filed with “great country music,” 50/50 drawings and more. Admission is $10, and all performers are donating their time. For more information, email eldriverd@aol.com.
