REP. AUSTIN APPOINTED TO TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEE

COMMITTEE CRITICAL TO MAINTAINING STATEWIDE INFRASTRUCTURE

AUGUSTA – State Rep. Betty Austin, D-Skowhegan, has been appointed to serve on the Legislature’s Transportation Committee, a panel vital to preserving Maine’s infrastructure and development.

The Transportation Committee oversees policy regarding the Department of Transportation, Maine Turnpike Authority, highway and bridge construction, aeronautics, waterways and railroads.

Austin is serving her first term in the Maine House and represents Skowhegan and part of Madison.
