AUBURN – The Auburn Recreation Department and staff have announced two events for the community — Pettengill Park Appreciation Day and Auburn Recreation Future Planning Forum.
On Saturday Sept 16, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Auburn Recreation Dept., 48 Pettengill Park Road, will open all facilities in Pettengill Park for the public to check out the newly-renovated Hasty Community Center, Senior Community Center, and Ingersoll Turf Facility. The day will include fun family games, live demonstrations, prizes, bounce houses, free shirts and a free lunch (while supplies last).
There will be a public forum on strategic planning for Recreation in Auburn Wednesday Sept. 20, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hasty Community Center.
The Recreation Department and Parks and Recreation Advisory Board understand the challenge of not having time to serve on a board or committee and are offering a one-time open forum for the public to come and voice concerns, comments, suggestions and great ideas to help develop the future plan of recreation in Auburn.
