Leavitt graduate to talk at library about North Pond hermit

TURNER — District Attorney Maeghan Maloney will speak about the North Pond hermit Friday, Sept. 22 beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Turner Public Library, 98 Matthews Way. Following the popularity of the book “A Stranger in the Woods,” Maloney will discuss the North Pond hermit case as well as topics such as alternative sentencing. Maloney graduated from Leavitt Area High School and was the prosecutor for the case.

Currently on display at the library is a selection of books recommended by both Maloney and Michael Finkley, author of “The Stranger in the Woods.” Turner Public Library patrons are encouraged check out books from either list, available for perusal on the library’s website — www.turnerpubliclibrary.org/an-evening-with-maeghan-maloney.
