WINSLOW — The Red Knights Maine Chapter 13 held a “Ride to End Hunger in Maine” July 31. The 100-mile ride started at Fort Halifax Park and ended at The Red Barn in Augusta. Each rider made a donation to participate.
The Red Knights presented the proceeds of the ride — a $400 donation — to the Winslow Community Federal Credit Union’s Ending Hunger Campaign.
The credit union supports different organizations throughout the year, including the Ending Hunger Campaign, Maine Children’s Home for Little Wanderers’ Christmas program, the Maine Children’s Cancer program and Maine Special Olympics. Winslow Community Federal Credit Union is a not-for-profit organization that exists to serve its members and community.
