OXFORD — Oxford Hills Duplicate Bridge club met at 9:15 a.m. Friday, Dec. 16, in the Oxford Recreation Building, where the annual Christmas was observed.
Finishing first in flight A were Dottie Kelleher (Westbrook) and Mike True (Auburn); second were Cynthia and Bill Clifford Jr. (Lewiston), who also were first in flight B; third in A were Norma and Rick Verrill (Gorham), who also were second in B; tied for four to six were Rosemarie Goodwin (Lewiston) and Luke Merry (Norway) with Hazel Glazier (Norway) and Dick Allen (New Gloucester) and Eleanor and Lindy Wigton (Lewiston), who also were third in B.
Finishing first in flight C were B.J. and Steve Cavicchi (Bridgton); second were Elaine Dresser (Bethel) and Arlen Riis (West Paris); third were Cindy and Bob Kirchherr (Norway).

This weeks’ bridge tip, Rule of 30: When partner reveals a void and you have a strong hand and a trump fit, there are only 30 relevant points, not 40. A small slam can be bid on 23-24 points and a grand slam is a possibility with 29-30 points. Good luck! See you at the bridge table.
