LEWISTON — The Friends of Pettingill School Park will hold a fundraising yard sale Saturday, Aug. 19, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. across the street from the park at 405 College St. When the school was razed in 2013, the school’s stone sign survived.
Now the goal is to raise enough money to mount the “Pettingill School” sign on a brick base within the flower garden at the corner of College and Little streets. Anyone wishing to donate items for the sale may do so by dropping them off at the yard sale location or by calling Bill Maroldo at 207-795-1386.
