GREENE — The Greene Historical Society is hosting a presentation “Life Along the Androscoggin River: Then and Now,” at 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 17, at the Old Town House, 98 Main St.
Those attending are invited to bring photos and videos and share their stories. The discussion will explore what it was like to live along the river years ago, compared to how life is now, what remains of the houses on the Greene side of Gulf Island Pond and who lived there, and more.
The historical society would like to compile information for its archives.
