LEWISTON — The annual Aging Well Living Well Expo will be held Friday, Oct. 6 at the Grand Summit Hotel and Conference Center at Sunday River in Bethe, SeniorsPlus has announced.
The day-long expo, which is in its 10th year, features workshops and lectures and is a learning opportunity for adults, organizers said. It runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The more than 20 workshops cover a range of topics including law, health, exercise, cooking, and art. Workshop titles range from “Antiques and Collectibles,” to “Self Defense and Safety Awareness,” to “Diabetes 101.” Workshops run 75 minutes each. Attendees will find necessary information, such as “Medicare 101,” and making estate plans, as well as first-time explorations like line-dancing, essential oils and model railroading.
In celebration of the Expo’s 10 years, there will be musical entertainment by the duo Old School.
The Expo begins with a breakfast keynote address by Maine author and inspirational speaker Lee Ann Szelog. She will lead the audience in creating a unique time capsule commemorating the event as well as teaching attendees how to create their own family time capsule.
