MONMOUTH — Children’s author Nacy Beaule has two upcoming Auburn appearances, where she will read to children and sign books.
Beaule will be at the L/A Artwalk at Great Falls Plaza in Auburn, beginning at 6 p.m., Friday, Aug. 10.
At 10 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 22, she will be at the Auburn Public Library. All children attending receive a free bookmark, complete with Chompy Juice recipe, and get to spin the Food Group Wheel.
Beaule is the author of the Chompy and the Munchy Bunch series, “The Secret Formula,” “Search for the Hidden Treasure” and “Spud’s First Day Surprise.” The latter two have earned the 5-Star gold seal from Reader’s Favorite book reviews. The series follows Chompy, a nervous carrot who gets superpower eyesight from drinking Chompy Juice, made from carrots. Kids love re-enacting the eye-popping Chompy Juice segment in the books, which is geared toward 4 to 9 year olds, Beaule said.
Beaule is working on the fourth book in her series, which she said goes to the heart of her purpose for developing the series — children need to eat healthy. When coach Brock O. Lee (can you guess his character?) discovers his new baseball team is very sluggish, he embarks on a quest to get them into shape.
She resides in Monmouth with her husband, spending winters in Florida. They have two children and three grandchildren.
