LOVELL — Charlotte Hobbs Memorial Library is holding a build-your-own-pizza and book discussion party at 5 p.m. Friday, July 21.
The party is for children 10 and up and their families. Pizzas will be baked in a portable wood-fired clay oven from Fly-Away-Farm. Dessert and book discussion will follow.
The book for discussion is “The Island of Beyond,” by Elizabeth Atkinson, which takes place on an island in a Maine lake. It was one of the finalists for the 2017 Maine Literary Award. Author Atkinson will join the party.
Copies of the book are available to check out at the library. Kids, teens, and families are welcome.
Sign up at the library so there is enough pizza for everyone. Those who do not have time to read or finish the book are still welcome.
