Poland-area students named to University of Maine dean’s list

ORONO — Students from Poland, East Poland, Mechanic Falls and Minot are among the 2,303 students named to the University of Maine dean’s list for the spring 2017 semester.

Area students on the list include Lauren Emery, of East Poland; Erin Brewer, William Foster, Tucker Jones, Jada Lamb, Chelsea Martin and Emily Whittemore, all of Poland; Hope Kohtala and Gabrielle Smith, of Mechanic Falls; and Evan LaPointe, Shawn Mitchell, Lindsay Theriault and Marissa Zink, all of Minot. Students who made the list completed 12 or more credit hours in the semester and earned a grade point average of 3.5 or higher. Some students have requested that their information not be released, therefore, their names are not included. Of the students who made the dean’s list, 1,727 are from Maine, 533 are from 29 other states and 43 are from 22 countries other than the U.S.
