Gary T. Poisson
1947 – 2016
JAY– Gary T. Poisson, 69, of Jay, passed away Saturday, Dec. 10, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Gary was born Aug. 24, 1947, in Livermore Falls, the son of George and Geraldine (Maillet) Poisson. He was a 1965 graduate of Livermore Falls High School.
He married his wife of 46 years, Marie Dufour, on Aug. 22, 1970, at St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay.
Through the years Gary supervised several construction projects for different companies throughout New England, including paper mill additions, wastewater treatment plants and the Ted Williams Tunnel in Boston.
When he retired, Gary enjoyed four-wheeling on his ATV side-by-side with friends, Gerry, Patty, Jim and Wanda. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Marie; sons, Mark and Tena of Gorham, and Carl and Lynne of Lewiston; grandchildren, Raychel, Riley, Annaliese, Emily, Matthew and Aiden; and his sister, Gail and Ron Markel of The Villages, Fla.
He was predeceased by his parents.
