Livermore Falls – Treat Memorial Library Nov. Events

Oct. 222026

Leaves are falling and the books are calling! We here at Treat are thankful for our wonderful community of patrons and volunteers.
Homeschool Group will meet on Wednesday, November 18th at 11:30 a.m. We will have activities for learning and creative play. This month’s activity theme is Art and Animals of the Dawnland. We’ll be celebrating Native American Heritage Month with an exploration of Wabanaki language and art!
Book Club will be meeting Thursday, November 12th at 3 p.m. We’ll be reading A Spool of Blue Thread by Anne Tyler, as part of our Colors in Titles series. The meeting will be in person with a Zoom option. Please let staff know if you would like the zoom link for the meeting.
Could you use a visit with a friendly pup? Come and meet (and maybe read to) our therapy dog friends from Love on a Leash! They will be joining us on Thursday, November 19th for Tails and Tales from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
On Tuesdays at 5:30 p.m., join us for Craft Circle. Bring your own project or learn along with us! This is a craft group for all ages.
Join us Saturdays at 10:30 a.m. for Lego Explorers. Come and take on a challenge or build your own vision! Completed Lego masterpieces will be on display in the library for the following week.
Every two weeks, we will have new themed Story Time packets with crafts and other early literacy activities to take home. Pair the packets with a book from our Story Time to Go display that matches the theme. Have fun with books and activities with your family at your own convenience!
If you have questions about your phone, tablet, or computer or how to navigate online, our visiting tech teacher, Ernie Steward from Spruce Mountain Adult Education, will be here Fridays from 3 to 5 p.m.
Please note that the library will be closed Tuesday, November 11th for Veteran’s Day. We will also be closed on Thursday, November 26th and Friday, November 27th for the Thanksgiving holiday.
Treat Memorial Library is happy to announce we now have Tony Hawk signature series skateboards for community members to sign out. The skateboards were generously donated to the town of Livermore Falls by Christine Fournier in memory of her son, Matthew Adams. You must be 18 to sign out a skateboard or have a parent/guardian sign out a skateboard with you. Please contact the library if you have any questions at 897-3631.
Don’t miss out! The Maine Wildlife Park ends its season on November 11th. Come in and check out a pass for it and other amazing organizations: the Maine MILL Museum, Maine Mineral and Gem Museum, Maine State Park Pass, and the Western Maine Play Museum. Please contact us for more information!
Now that school’s back in session, it’s a great time to check out our Homeschool Resource Center. Thanks to grant funding from the John Henry Eldred Jr. Foundation, we have developed a growing collection of resources for homeschooling families. From reference books to learning games to mini study units, our resource center has a little bit of everything! These resources aren’t limited to homeschooling families – learners of all ages are welcome to use and explore.
Any questions or for more information, please call the library at 897-3631. Visit us at 56 Main Street, Livermore Falls. Access your account and the Cloud Library for audio and ebooks through our online catalog at https://treat.biblionix.com/atoz/catalog/ . Follow us on Facebook for updates.
