NORWAY – DOWNTOWN’S FREE HALLOWEEN FESTIVAL

Sep. 282026

Norway’s free, popular Halloween Festival, where thousands of children have descended on Norway’s Main Street every October for 20 years, will be held this Fall on Friday, October 30, 2026 from 2:00-5:00 pm.
Organized by the nonprofit organization, Norway Downtown, the 21st Halloween Festival is being generously sponsored by Oxford Federal Credit Union, which has a branch in Norway. “This free community event has brought joy to thousands of children and their families for two decades, so OFCU’s kindness toward helping us with this beloved community event is greatly appreciated,” said KC Christensen, Norway Downtown’s Executive Director.
Close to 70 local businesses hand out candy, toys, trinkets, fruit and goodies to the many costumed children trick-or-treating along Main Street. Norway’s Fire, Police and Recreation Depts, costumed characters, volunteers, students, schools and local nonprofits join together on this festive October afternoon to give countless children a fun-filled Halloween experience. Norway’s shiny Fire Truck and a boat from White’s Marina will be on hand and Face Painting, Monster Music and other surprises are in store.

Norway Downtown’s 21st Halloween Festival is free and open to the public regardless of residence. Families are invited to dress up, bring their cameras and watch the children enjoy trick-or-treating in front of the shops, cafes and pubs along Norway’s historic Main Street. It’s a healthy one mile walk in Norway’s charming downtown and spreads goodwill, laughter and community spirit for all ages during the beautiful Fall Season.
