Maine – Reunited after 22 Years

In 2004, during a congressional delegation trip to the Middle East, Senator Collins met Jeff Blake (left) and Jeff Cayer (right), who were serving in Mosul, Iraq.

Last weekend, while taking part in the grand opening of the new fire station in Sweden, Senator Collins reunited with Mr. Blake and Mr. Cayer, who were also in attendance at the event.

Running into someone you haven’t seen in years is not uncommon in Maine. But a reunion 22 years in the making, spanning thousands of miles from Mosul to Sweden, was truly a special Maine Moment!
