LEWISTON — The Franco Center will welcome spring with a lively night of music and community during its May Day Folk Music Showcase, featuring Dusty Buckets, Donnybrook Farm, Jacob Michael Osborne, and Richie Delisle.
The showcase promises an evening of foot-stomping rhythms, rich harmonies and heartfelt storytelling, bringing together a dynamic mix of local and regional folk talent.
“This is the kind of night where you can really feel the energy in the room,” said Kiersten Nunery, the Franco Center’s event coordinator and bar manager. “Folk music has a way of bringing people together — it’s warm, it’s authentic, and it just fits the spirit of May perfectly.”
From upbeat, toe-tapping tunes to more intimate acoustic moments, the showcase is designed to offer something for every music lover.
“We’ve put together a lineup that captures a wide range of folk styles,” Nunery said. “Whether you come to dance, relax with a drink, or discover a new favorite artist, you’ll find something that sticks with you.”
Guests are encouraged to arrive early, grab a drink from the cash bar and settle in for a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.
“There’s nothing quite like live music in this space,” Nunery said. “It’s casual, it’s inviting, and it’s a great way to celebrate the season with friends — or meet new ones.”
Tickets are $20, cash only, available at the door. No advance sales.
Doors and cash bar open at 6 p.m., with music beginning at 7 p.m.
