GARDINER – The Downeast Brass Quintet will delight an audience again at 7 p.m. on Saturday, December 13th, 2025, in a festive FREE Christmas concert at First Baptist Church of Gardiner. This year, the ensemble has invited David Stetson, First Baptist’s excellent organist, to perform.
The concert will appeal to a wide audience, including families. Following the music the church’s cooks will serve a Christmas dessert.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Seating is not ticketed, and parking is available both onsite and near the church. Donations for the concert will be gratefully accepted.
MORE ON DOWNEAST BRASS – Premier Maine musicians in The Downeast Brass quintet play Christmas concerts in an exciting and surprising variety of styles. Their repertoire includes both traditional holiday music and energetic and popular music, with many original arrangements by the group’s founder, Dwight Tibbetts. Downeast Brass musicians are also music educators here in Maine, and they introduce musical pieces with captivating comments that draw in listeners.
Audiences often pack the quintet’s performances, and last year’s Christmas Concert at First Baptist Church of Gardiner left the appreciative audience wanting more!
