Archivist and Author to Visit Whitman Memorial Library on October 6th

On Monday, October 6^th at 1PM, the Whitman Memorial Library in Bryant Pond invites the public to an informational presentation by Rhonda Chadwick.  Rhonda is an archivist, author, and public speaker who helps people to prepare their family documents for long-term preservation.  We all have collections of old photos, family documents, and other print materials we would like to organize for safekeeping.  During the presentation, attendees will learn about:

• The basics of archival storage and preservation
• Optimum temperature and humidity ranges
• The best storage place inside the home
• What to do with digital documents and photographs
• Tips on organizing materials for better retrieval
• Creative ideas to tell the story of family history.
