OQUOSSOC – The Rangeley Region Guides’ & Sportsman’s Association (RRG&SA) invites all community members to a very important informational meeting and Potluck Supper Social on May 15, 2025, at the Clubhouse, 41 Skiway Rd, Oquossoc, ME. Doors open at 5:00 PM.
RRG&SA is seeking to develop a formal gun safety, training, and live fire instruction program, with the eventual goal of launching competition shooting events. The evening will feature guest speaker Craig Gerry, Statewide Shooting Range Coordinator for the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife (MDIFW), who will outline the steps necessary to develop a formal pistol/rifle shooting program.
In addition, the association will discuss plans to upgrade and improve the range, which is currently in disrepair and in need of maintenance. A volunteer workday will be scheduled soon, and interested participants can sign up at the event.
All interested individuals are encouraged to attend, share their input, and help shape the future of safe and responsible shooting sports in the Rangeley region. Please bring a dish to share for the potluck supper.
For more information or to volunteer, please contact the Rangeley Region Guides’ & Sportsman’s Association President, Sonny Pierce, at info@rrgsa.org.
